Tara Lodermeier, CCLS
Tara has been certified as a Child Life Specialist for fifteen years with extensive experience spanning hematology and oncology, bone marrow transplant, and primary care pediatrics. Tara has worked in diverse clinical settings inpatient and outpatient, extensive work with siblings, bereavement and has also championed impactful research projects. She has most recently transitioned to the community setting, where she dedicates her expertise to supporting students and educators in the school setting as her main role, and she is contracting with Coping Copilots for in-home sessions and special events as well. Her approach focuses on being the essential bridge between children, parents/guardians, and their environment, helping to find effective coping strategies for all involved.

Andy Saunders, Family Support Specialist II
With over two decades of working with children of various ages, Andy has a wealth of expertise in child development and creating trusting and therapeutic relationships. He has spent 15 years working in Montessori Education where he met children where they were at, or followed the child, helping them learn and grow through play. Most recently he has worked with pediatrics in the healthcare setting, supporting them through stressful experiences through positive developmental interactions and engagement. He brings the depth of his skillset in development within our Family Support Specialist II role, helping identify a child’s individual needs, strengths and challenges, through 1:1 engagement and play. His background in Montessori can be utilized to help set up spaces with Montessori theories in mind, coaching for Montessori techniques and trauma informed background understanding how stress can affect the developing brain, as well as just help children and their caregivers engage through play.

Audrey Haugen, MS, CCLS, CPST
Audrey is a passionate and articulate Child Life Specialist with over five years of certification. Holding a Master's degree in Health and Human Physiology - Child Life from the University of Iowa, she has garnered vast experiences in various pediatric healthcare organizations and clinical settings in Minnesota and beyond. Audrey serves as the Chair of the Minnesota Child Life Coalition and previously served as the Chair of the Resource Task Force with Child Life Disaster Relief. Trained as a Practitioner in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®), she works closely with all families (especially foster and adoptive families), supporting attachment dynamics and parenting strategies through trauma-informed interventions. Audrey is also certified as a Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) and is working toward certification as a Trauma Informed Care Practitioner. Additionally, her knowledge extends to dental environments as she grew up around her father’s dental practice for which she now consults!
