Jamie Cary, CCLS

Jamie has been in the child life field for over thirteen years and is currently practicing in upstate New York.  She spent the majority of her career thus far working in outpatient clinics with various specialties and diagnoses. Her main focus was supporting patients and families with cystic fibrosis; she was active with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and often presented and advocated for child life integration in CF care at the North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference. Additionally, her advocacy for children and teens with neurodivergence leads to her passion for greater education, training, and support within pediatrician offices to reduce negative experiences and create better partnerships between providers and caregivers. She prioritizes creating trusting relationships with the entire family unit and empowering the child to push through their comfort zone in order to grow and cope with what life throws their way.
